Delete your ULMOX account

Effective 2026-09-04. Last updated 2026-09-04.

This page explains how to permanently delete your ULMOX account and what happens to your data afterwards.

Deactivating is not deleting. Deactivation hides your profile and your content and can be undone. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — delete in the app (preferred)

This is the fastest route and needs no email exchange. It is not available to every account on every device: an account linked with Sign in with Apple cannot finish deletion from an Android phone, and must complete it on an Apple device. See If your account is linked with Sign in with Apple below.

  1. Open ULMOX and go to Profile → Legal & Safety → Account Management → Delete Account.
  2. Read the confirmation, which explains that deletion is permanent.
  3. Confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first, which protects your account from someone else deleting it.

Option 2 — request deletion by email

If you cannot open the app, you can ask us to delete your account.

Email ulmoxapp@outlook.com with the subject “ULMOX Account Deletion Request”

Please include only the minimum needed to find your account:

Where possible, write from the email address associated with your account. If your account is linked with Sign in with Apple and you used Hide My Email, write from your Apple relay address, or give us enough non-secret account details to identify the account.

We will never ask you for a password, an Apple or Google password, a one-time authentication code, an authorisation code, a sign-in token, or a photograph of an identity document, and we will never ask you to send any of them to us by email. If you receive a message claiming to be from ULMOX and asking for any of these, it is not from us.

We verify that you own the account before deleting it. A request sent from a public web form or an unverified address does not delete an account by itself. We may ask you to confirm ownership through a safe process, such as replying from the account email address.

What happens when an account is deleted

Safety evidence is not ordinary message history. Connections and optional message translation are being introduced gradually and may not yet be available for every account or installed app version. If you have a Connection: an ordinary message in it is treated as expiring about seven days after it is sent. A message that has been reported is no longer governed by that: it is evidence in a review, and it is kept while the review is open and afterwards where the outcome justifies keeping it — including after the account it came from is deleted. Deleting your account does not withdraw a report you made and does not erase a report made about you.

If your account is linked with Sign in with Apple

Some ULMOX accounts are linked with Sign in with Apple. If yours is, permanent deletion has one extra step, because Apple requires an app to give up its Sign in with Apple authorisation when it deletes an account, rather than only deleting its own record.

  1. On an Apple device, ULMOX asks you to confirm once more directly with Apple. That confirmation happens between you and Apple on your own device. ULMOX does not receive your Apple password, and we never ask you for it.
  2. That confirmation is what lets ULMOX revoke its own Sign in with Apple authorisation for your account.
  3. Only then does the permanent deletion described above begin.

If that step does not finish, nothing is deleted. If you dismiss the Apple screen, if the confirmation returns a different Apple account than the one signed in, or if the step fails for any other reason, ULMOX stops before anything permanent happens and tells you that nothing has been deleted. You can try again.

Three separate things are easy to confuse:

Deleting an Apple-linked account from an Android device

The Apple confirmation step can only be completed on an Apple device. If you try to delete an Apple-linked ULMOX account from an Android phone, ULMOX stops before anything is removed and tells you that nothing has been deleted. Finish the deletion on an Apple device.

An account that uses only Google Sign-In, or only an email address, deletes normally on either kind of device. An account linked with both Apple and Google still needs the Apple step.

If you only want a break

Deactivation hides your profile and your Global content and can be reversed by signing back in and choosing Reactivate. Signing in on its own does not reactivate the account. Videos you already sent may remain with the people who received them for their normal retention period. Deactivation does not satisfy a deletion request — if you want your data removed, use Delete Account.

Deactivating does not erase safety records, and reactivating does not undo anything. Coming back restores your access; it does not reverse a moderation decision, does not bring back content that moderation removed or hid, and does not reopen a Connection that was ended. Ending a Connection is final for that pair. Blocking works differently: a block ends the Connection you have now and stops contact in both directions while it stands. Removing a block does not restore the old Connection either — the two accounts would have to qualify again from the beginning, through two fresh qualifying video exchanges and a fresh approval from each person.
